Ms. Ayumi Fujishiro

Cheerleader of IPPIN Cafe Bar

Ayumi was born in a traditional performing arts family. Her Grandmother was a traditional Japanese dancer and her uncle was a performer of a traditional Japanese puppet show. Ayumi herself has also always been familiar to Japanese traditional arts through her Shamisen lessons and traditional Japanese dance lessons. However, one day when she had the opportunity to visit the backstage of a show, she realizes how much she thought she knew, but actually didn’t about Japanese traditional arts. From that experience, Ayumi decides to study at Kyoritsu Women’s University. She majored in dramatics and spends four years, giving all her time to studying traditional arts performing, film study and theatrics.

Ayumi arrived in Singapore in 2014 to help her father run IPPIN Cafe Bar located in a pretty old shophouse at Mohamed Sultan Road. Besides serving Japanese style cuisines, her shop is also well stocked with other food products sources from various parts of Japan that most Singaporeans have never seen before. Of course the cafe's menu are also prepared from these Japanese ingredients.

At this event, Ayumi will be sharing with us about interesting food products you may discover on your next trip to Japan. Ayumi is also a certified Sake sommelier, she will be sharing her knowledge on Sake and will bring in a few bottles from her cafe for everyone to sample. You will also be suprised how Ayumi has mastered Singlish in the short span of 2 years living in Singapore.
